Global Communications What Does Your Company Need to Thrive in Today's Global Economy? Perhaps your company's greatest potential for growth is outside your home country. As a result, you're concerned about developing future leaders on a global scale, as well as instilling cross-cultural awareness among all your managers. Or, maybe you're interested in generally broadening the skills of your management team-exposing them to functional business areas beyond their area of specialty, globalizing their business viewpoint beyond a regional focus, and helping them to solve specific internal strategic challenges. Materials: Trainees will work from a Course Pack, and supplemental lessons and activities will be provided by the instructor. Objectives: At the end of the workshop trainees will be able to: o Clearly introduce themselves and their companies/sections. o Participate in meetings o Give a clear presentation. o Negotiate effectively o Write proper e mails o Socialize with foreigners Learning/Teaching Methods: Trainees will actively participate with partners/small groups to complete all assignments and can expect to be involved in speaking with a partner or in a group for approximately eighty percent of the class time. The instructor will act as a facilitator and coach-not as a lecturer - to guide trainees step-by-step through the phases of Global Communications. Homework may be required to practice speaking and to prepare for pair work, role-plays, discussions, simulations and presentations. |
