Business Skills a course for intermediate level business English students who need to improve their communicative ability when, presenting, writing or when taking part in meetings and negotiating.

Students analyze the requirements of the relevant communicative situation and are then given controlled and free stage practice to develop confidence, fluency, and effectiveness.

Modules

E-mail English

This course will teach you how to write e-mails your clients and colleagues will understand. You will learn how to develop and organize your message, use the correct expressions, and functions, understand communication styles and improve your grammar to ensure clarity.

Presenting

This course will teach you how to plan, write and deliver an effective business presentation. You will also learn necessary skills, language functions and expressions that will help you develop confidence and fluency when presenting.

Meetings

This course will teach you how lead and participate more effectively in meetings. Meetings covers areas such as preparing for a meeting, making your views heard, and making an action plan. You will also learn necessary skills, language functions and expressions that will help you develop confidence and fluency when attending meetings.

Negotiating

This course will teach you how to negotiate in different business situations. You will learn different styles of negotiating such as formal and informal, positional and cooperative, and understand how both parties can achieve a "win-win" result.
